String-by-String Fingering
Fret the Low E string at fret 3 with your index finger (G).
Fret the A string at fret 5 with your ring finger (D).
Fret the D string at fret 5 with your pinky finger (G).
Mute the G string so it does not ring.
Mute the B string so it does not ring.
Mute the High E string so it does not ring.

How to Play It
- Start your strum from the Low E string and avoid any strings marked X.
- Keep your fingertips close to the fret wire so the G5 chord rings without buzz.
- Use the edge of your fretting hand and picking-hand palm to mute everything outside the power-chord strings.
- Mute unused strings with the palm and the underside of the 1st finger.
- Move the same shape anywhere on the 6th and 5th strings.
